Inspired 2.1

Today’s inspired series focused on a quick hitter to keep your spirits up.  I know I personally take a lot of solace in the fact that I cherish my ability to work hard on a consistent basis.  It gets tiresome after a while.  There are times you just go and go and go and it feels like no progress is made.  Day to day things don’t seem to be progressing in any specific direction.  Today, I could easily echo this sentiment.  Instead, I choose to be inspired.

When life seems to get bogged down in the mundane details of your everyday experience you should:

“widen your perspective your focus is too narrow…” – Aurie

Be inspired, be encouraged, and share this Aurieism with someone you know.

Today I am inspired by my long time blogging friend, Deirdre, author of Inspired to Affect & Touch.  A line in one of her recent post really stuck with me.

“my glass is now half empty [… ] but only because i continue to drink from it…” – Deirdre

So profound when I first heard it….How is your thinking?  Is it stinkin’?  Is it positive?

glass half full?

What a novel idea…and in line with the positive theme of my blog. Thanks to daily health boost for this reblog opportunity

Hi All!

First of all.. lots of ♥ for everyone for following/commenting/liking/reading my blog! It is so exciting & humbling if you see that there are so many people that enjoy what you put out there. I only started this blog about 2 1/2 months ago and am soo thrilled by all the lovely responses. I’m having so much fun in discovering interesting content for the blog, its a blast!

More exciting news is that I am working on my own articles that are mind-body health related. As you all know I am all about creating health the not-so-obvious way; by creating more happiness & love in our lives. It’s amazing how much effect we can have with out mind over the body (for example, think placebo effect). I believe that our bodies are a reflection of our minds. At every moment, our bodies are continually responding to the messages…

My inspirations come to me late in the midnight hour sometimes.  Here is another inspired thought that I had to get down on electronic paper.

“Sometimes the richest experiences come from having an intimate dialogue with the unfamiliar.  There are unforgettable moments in life that can never be replaced.  Capture them! Cherish them! Be inspired by them!” – Aurie

Sometimes doing the same things day in and day out can be draining. After a while, I need a jolt of inspiration to replenish my well. Having opportunities to gain new dynamic experiences are responsible for some of the most transcendent moments of my life. What brought me to this crystalized moment of inspiration was a blog post by my blogging sistren, TravelingMad.  You can read her post about her trip to India here.

Tell me of a time where you had an experience that put you in unchartered territory?  How did that experience inspire you? Please share in the comment section.

My inspired quote today is a positive twist on a comedy act I saw this morning.

Wow, isn’t God just awesome?? I woke up today believing in myself, so much so that…

“I have to start searching furiously through drawers and cupboards for the chisel that [the good Lord] used to sculpt this work of art [that is me] because I am convinced it was not done on my own” – Kyle Kinane (insert your laughter here)

Remember that with everything in life, you must remember to enjoy yourself and even laugh at yourself sometimes. Life doesn’t always have to be so serious. While I wouldn’t take it all the way to where Kyle Kinane, the comedian, took it … but I still like the point.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there. I’m hittin’ you off another inspired post that came to me this evening. You know how I do what I do, but I do it for you. *sorry, felt a little lyrical there and that didn’t turn out so well – chuckles*
With this time of year being one of reflection and of course eating, here is some food for thought. I find myself thinking about simple ways to encourage myself and others. In an effort to fulfill the shared vision & mission of my church of loving God passionately and loving others intentionally, I thought that I would share yet another inspired message of positivity with you all.

Always remember this:

“Live To Love.  Love To Live. You will always have a heart of gratitude if you do this.” – Aurie
